This is me with a ponytail. I just learned how to fix my own so I wear a ponytail every day now. I wanted to get my eyes, nose and mouth just right, so you can see where I erased and made changes. My mom says this makes it interesting. Note from Mom: This painting is 6 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. The edges are a little crooked because the paper is cut by the artist. Drawn with black Staedtler marker (acid-free archival ink) and painted with watercolor on thick off-white paper. This is an original unmounted painting not a print. This drawing was inspired by my favorite artist Frida Kahlo! That's me in the painting and Frida is watching me work. She was an amazing artist and I loved seeing her paintings first hand in San Francisco. My mom explained that she has inspired a lot of people, especially women and girls. I think she's terrific and I guess that means I've been inspired by her too! Note from Mom: This drawing is 9 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
