This is a High Voltage Bridge Rectifier + a Heatsink to dissipate the heat it creates. It is rated for 1000 volts and 35 amps ( you can probably push the amps even higher than this with the heatsink). In my experience, it is very important to use a heatsink with bridge rectifiers if you don't want them to overheat and fail....or even melt! What does it do? A bridge rectifier allows you to convert alternating current (ac) to direct current (dc). It is a cheap way to get 110 VDC or 230 VDC. The high voltage is better at producing hydrogen. (1) From your 12 volt DC power source (like a battery), hook-up an AC/DC inverter to get 110 VAC or 230 VAC. (2) Attach the bridge rectifier to the 110 VAC or 230 VAC and you will get 110 VDC or 230 VDC respectively!!! Or you connect the bridge rectifier straight to the ac wires from a wall outlet to get 110 VDC. END RESULT: YOU GET 110 VDC OR 230 VDC. The auction includes everything in the picture.
