  •          These are all terms referencing collecting fraudulent personal information via email.

  • How can I make sure my resume is secure?
  •          Here’s how to keep your resume protected, but not to the extent that employers can’t find you:
    1. Don’t place your phone number within your resume, place an email address instead.
    2. Don’t place your home address within your resume, City and or Town along with State is ok.

  • What are some specific steps to take to prevent identity theft?
      • You can reduce and minimize your risk of ID theft by never giving out your social security number.
      • Never give your credit card information out over the phone unless you have called that company.
      • AND NEVER give you pin number out to anyone.

  • Network Online Safety
  • Even though social communities are great places to interact with like minded people, make sure you know what and when to share new information about yourself. Social communities are all about healthy insulation, while helping you break free from isolation.
